We all spend a lot of time in meetings – but do you know how productive these meetings are? In this post, I’m turning my attention to two fundamental SOFI scores: Latency Score and Focus Score.
-Latency Score tells me how long it takes me to get to the main topic of my meeting
-Focus Score tells me how much time I spent on the key topics and core agenda.
Since I started keeping an eye on SOFI Scores, I’ve noticed my Latency Score has improved significantly – meaning I now get to the key point of a meeting much faster. However, it is the Focus Score which really caught my attention.
My Focus score has improved from 65% to 85% – which means I’m spending more time discussing the key points in my meetings.
And this is just my performance. When I look at this metric across my team, I’m now able to gain a clear understanding of how effective we are being across all of our meetings. From a sales perspective, we noticed a higher Focus Score of 80%-90% drove an increase in sales.
Of course, this is not to say that small talk and general conversation isn’t important – on the contrary, it is extremely important. And I’d argue, is fundamental to helping build and strengthen relationships. But it’s finding the balance with communicating why you are there and what you have to offer that is key. At mallowstreet, we are constantly ‘reimagining the meeting’, and working out how we have the most effective interactions.
